Science of science as a force multiplier
Science of science or Metascience is about improving the processes and systems of Science themselves. In doing so, they may be able to act as a multiplier for Research funding, eventually increasing the Impact of research funding.
For instance, if we can improve the efficiency of research funding by X% by figuring out how to fund better, that can have a lasting impact over time.
